Writing is hard.
Seriously, it hurts. As in a physical sensation of pain. The thick calluses I developed through thirteen long, angst-ridden years of K-12 schooling (that's right, I didn't repeat any grades!) have long since gone the way of the ivory-billed woodpecker, due to my increasing reliance (i.e., emotional and biological dependence) on computers.
What's that? The ivory-billed woodpecker is no longer extinct? Whatever.
The point is my fingers now get raw pressure points when I have to write more than ten sentences with a pen, as I did this weekend. Even worse, left-handed people's writing hands pass over the words they've just written. That means the side of my hand gets all black and/or blue when I write. Obviously right-handed people (i.e., sadists) created our writing system. Lame! Down with the rightriarchy!
